I have Starfury which i downloaded from strategy first 1-2 years ago and rarely played, now when i try to start it it says the key is invalid and i dont have any information on it becasue i got it as a free download with help from guy at startaegy first because my old one was wiped with he rest of my hard drive last year HELPPPPPPPPPPPP!@!@!@!

First, to the links:
- All 3 Campaigns (RAR, 1 meg) : This is the stock campaigns with a vastly improved physics model. Be sure to try starting a game in episode 2, where you have the option of flying a warp-capable FIGHTER with an extra-fancy "leaky armor" system (full coverage, but small holes can be punched in it if you aren't careful).
- Supersized version of P&N Episode 1 : This tweak takes the above game, shrinks ships, and scales up planets. They're impressively HUGE now. You will need to rely on your radar components more (instead of eyeballing everything), and fighters will accidentally ram much less often.

What is Space Empires: Star Fury?

--- Star Fury is a hybrid game; it is like an RPG / shooter in space. You start basically with a small space ship, as you do missions (trade, bounty hunt, etc.) you get credits to buy better ships, and as you do this a story also develops. You get experience, and the items on your ship also improve as the game progress (that is the RPG part). The combat part is excellent and in total 3d, and you only need to use the mouse to maneuver the ship, really easy.

I found a thread on the forums for The People's Mod on spaceempires.net stating that there'd been a 0.4.0 release, which the same forum post says is stable and available at http://www.thepeoplesmod.com. That link, however, brings me to some sort of placeholder which, as far as I can tell, is completely unrelated. Are there other download locations for the latest version?

maybe a dumb question ,but I like the game.It has a learning curve which turns off some players at first.It turned me off the first time my destroyed got wasted by a pirate fighter.I did return and got the game down pretty well. So is there any interest in a faq for this game? How to play through using the stock
ship tonnage and that type of thing. I could write one if there is any interest.regards.

Runtime Error loading saved game

I recently purchased Star Fury (I believe it's version 1.17 on the CD-ROM) and find it very enjoyable. I'm having an issue in that I can start a new game and play it just fine, but if I load a saved game the game crashes. It drops to the desktop with Star Fury and a C++ runtime thang in the task bar. Most of the screen is dominated by a large white window. When I finally got to behind this white window, an error message stated that a runtime error had occurred in Starfury.exe.

I have uninstalled and reloaded the game but have the exact same problem. It never loads a saved game and always errors out.
