Description
Load a battleship full of missiles, and give it the targetting priority: "Total Targetted Damage < 50% of Structure". Send it up against a fleet of small frigates. It will still launch all missiles at one frigate.
It means
It means "fire until you're shot enough to kill the target twice over". For those targets you want dead Right Now; the main use is to saturate Point Defense and make sure ECM doesn't make you miss enough to not kill the target.
Hmm, would that setting make
Hmm, would that setting make it shoot only enough to kill it twice instead of wasting everything on it and kill it 10 times over before switching targets?
It SHOULD
It should, but as of the moment it doesn't.
Re: Targetting strategies wierd behavior
Just to be clear about your test, is ttd 1st or second on the list of priorities?
Also, "closest (absolute)" should be replaced by closest (10 ls increments), or removed altogether. And multiple armed targets should be present, of course.
If these conditions are met, then ttd is bugged and this needs to be fixed soon. As much as I enjoy the game, these bugs vex me to the limit sometimes.
Edit: My bad. I didn't notice the age of this post. My face is pink.

Needs to include weapon firing
P.S.
What does the tactic "Total Targetted Damage < 200% Structure" mean?
