Supply question |
I was wondering if my planet homeworld isnt able to generate supplies quickly enough is it possible to construct stations with solar panels and have them send their supplies down to the surface.
Satellites, maybe?
This is also something I was pondering. It seems like a good idea to make satellites with solar panels or on them to augment a planet's supply production capacity. Problem is, I don't think they automatically transfer their excess supplies to the planet, and doing it manually each turn would be a huge pain.
But maybe I'm wrong. Anyone know for sure?
I hadn't even thought of
I hadn't even thought of doing that. I will try and test this next time I play, when I get solar panels that is.
It's better to use space
It's better to use space stations/starbases rather than satellite because of the 50% reduction in maintanance costs.

In theory, yes... Also, making more resupply facilities
As I understand, resupply facilities generate 500 supplies each, look for a ship in the system to give them to, and if they don't find any takers, stash the supplies onplanet.
You could also produce ships made of emergency supply capsules, then burn their supplies supplying other ships and upping a planet's stock -- a way to funge Mins, orgs, and Rads into supplies and ordnance.
