Mines/Sats Going AWOL (SEV 1.74 Stock)

Hey All,

I've been playing SEV for a few weeks now and I've learned a lot from reading the forums here. Anyway, I've been encountering a problem I haven't seen posted here. Every now and then, a group of mines or sats will appear "off the map" in a solar system (i.e., in a non-hex space in the solar system). This seems to happen after I save a game, quit for the night, then start playing the next day. Needless to say, it makes securing warp points a hit or miss prospect. Anyone ever have this problem and if so, is there a fix or workaround for it?

Update:

Sat groups are outright disappearing from the system screens. They're listed in the Ship screen when viewing units, but if you click "Goto" it just takes you to the system. What's up with that?

That used to happen to fighters until a recent patch. Perhaps they should add mines and sats to the mix.

I've seen this happen a few times as well. This usually happens to me when i try to click a warp point right at the edge of screen either to go through it or deploy mines/sats. I've been able to avoid this by rotating and zooming closer to it so that it's closer to center of screen.

That happend to me until I got a patch...maby its just your computer

Something similar happens to me sometimes. It had me baffled until I realized that - in my particular instance, at least - it happened only when I looked at other systems before laying the mines/sats/whatever.

The program seems to get confused whenever you look somewhere other than the system where the currently selected ship is located (say, to see if there's a fleet heading for the warp point you're about to mine). In such cases, the units would show up outside of the solar system map, beyond the hexagonal grid. They can't be selected unless you go through the unit tab and track them down.

Unit's tab is a good idea, but what can you do with them. You can't reload them into a ship because a ship can't get to them...

Does save and reload game help?
