Because you don't need to sign up to read the forums, only to post. People are probably just trying to find some information.

Well, if you think about it, them not posting is a good thing. They are obviously finding the information they seek readily without having to make a new thread and ask which is a good thing. (Hows that for a good spin?)

Guilty as charged. I sometimes scan the posts looking for things and points to consider. If I've got something to say, I'll sign in and post. The down side to not signing in is I have to sometimes re-read a post or two. But if I'm just searching for something I know has been posted for awhile, I'll just go searching without signing in. Heck, I've been a member nearly two years now and only have 68 points. At least the site has traffic nearly 24/7. One other BB I'm on has 8-10 members online and maybe 4 guests. But I'd agree that our guests here are silent BECAUSE they're finding what they need to know.

because i can ussually find the answer without posting. the only reason to signin is to post. Unole has 68 point in two years. that about 4 times more point than i have in the same time. Almost never post but reading alot.

I've always found it irresistable to post if I thought I had something to contribute or if I was able to help someone.
