PBW Error/Difficulties |
Hi,
I'm trying to run a PBW game. So far, I've come across a problem. The other players apparently can't run the .gam file- it says that their file doesn't match the ones the game was created with. I'm using the most up to date version of SE 5, plus BM 1.14b
My only guesses are 1) I set the value of the homeworld in the game description to "average" but the value in the game to "good", and 2) I played my turn before uploading the .gam file. I've uploaded a new one where both were corrected, but I've yet to hear back from anybody. Is there anything else I should do?

All players HAVE to have the custom shipsets installed.

I don't think they do. If you do not have the other persons shipset then you will see a generic AI shipset for that person. Shouldn't have any bearing on his problem.

That is SE4 behavior. SE5 requires all the shipsets.
For reference, Dakar solved his problem by wiping and reinstalling the BM.

No Astorax is right I am in a SEV game and dont have all the shipsets and it runs.

Me thinks you'll run into trouble the first time you encounter a custom shipset you haven't installed.

EDIT: two people have custom shipsets. Will have have any impact on it?
