Some added shipsets end up being stillborn?

Description

I love the new added ship sets. All my favorites: B5, StarWars, SG1, StarTrek. They add a whole new dimension to the game and I can't thank the creators enough for allowing others to share in their work. Great work guys! Bravo and Encore!!!

Now to the issue. I'm running the stock game and installed most (if not all:) the available ship sets. I have the game set to allow me to always see all the other empires for comparisons. I've noticed that some races will be stillborn. They don't do anything... They don't build any ship or
research any technology. When I finally find and invade them, they don't form a single defending unit. They just sit there at max population and do nothing.

I found this in the: Alliance, Romulan, and Empire ship sets. I know there are a few others, these are just a few in my present game.

I would love to have them working. -Kraft

This is not a bug with SE5. The most likely cause is old AI scripts that do not work properly with the latest SE5 patch. You can fix this by replacing the .CSF scripts in a non-working shipset with those from another, working shipset.

Fyron,
I appreciate the work around! (it works!). However I believe this is still a bug with SEV. If the .csf files are missing OR incompatible (older, corrupted etc..) it should flag this error and use a default file that will work. Instead it fails to apply any AI whatsoever to the race which is a bug.
