Cultural Achievement benefits? |
What are the benefits to putting research into cultural studies projects ? I've only played a few times and I don't see any.
Thanks.

The specific areas add bonuses to specific empire wide effects.
Education + research %
Economics Reduced maintenance (ship and facility)
Recreation services + population happiness
Diplomacy + trade
Civics + population loyalty
I personally like Education and Economics for a bonus to research and decreased empire costs.
Re: Cultural Achievement benefits?
If you hit one of the tabs (the one next to the "end Turn" tab), it tells you what everything you've researched does, including all the cultural achievements.
You do have to research them first before it says anything though.

Re: Cultural Achievement benefits?
The bigger question is do the benifits of a cultural achievement actually get added in? Does that education level actually generate bonus research?
SEV, more than a feeling.

Mathematics is the one that gives a + in Research. The list of what they all do is in the Data/Cultural Achieve file.

That is stock, not BM.

They work fine. At high levels the bonus is pretty nice to have.
Re: Cultural Achievement benefits?
In a high tech BM game how much do each area cost after researching the Cultural Achievement catagory? Are they cheap like 10 or 20 thousand or more, which decreases the value of messing with it to begin with?

Re: Cultural Achievement benefits?
It gives you bonuses in certain areas such as happiness. See the manual. I never ever studied it myself in a game.
