SE5 AI Comparaison |

As of 1.71 (1.74 not tested yet but shouldn't have changed much), here's after some tests (runturns 20) the AI classement from best to worst:
Unnamed - I am actually losing a game against it, and not only because I was careless.

IRM ? - It was a good AI a year ago, not sure if it even workds in 1.74

Balance Mod - Can put up a fight in smaller maps, but fails in the long-term.

Devnull Mod - Does not expands enough

Gid Mod - Ridiculously slow expansion
In the last 3 mods the AI mainly lose the colonisation phase because they don't know to build enough Space Yard bases that allow for an exponential expansion as long as you have enough ressources - and with a good homeworld you could support up to 20 base space yards!
Solution to test: start with bad homeworlds only.

hm... BlueTemplar need some more people to lead the AI's 100turn experiment. if he not - this will take too much time for this.

In later games (around turn 100) the BM AI seems much better then the unnamed AI in my experience.

Since they operate on different mechanics it's difficult to decide exactly how to gague them

unnamed has really good AI
Balance Mod is rather made for PBW game balance, so i suppose AI is made only for making acquaintance with the game rules
