Planets automatically launching fighters and sending them to a local location. |
I've been trying to figure out if this is possible w/o success.
Ex. Can you set a planet to create fighters and automatically launch them (this would be a big help alone) and send them to a local location?
In larger games, this functionality would remove a significant part of the tedious work. Please let me know if this is even possible. If not, it would be a great feature to have.

Re: Planets automatically launching fighters and sending them to
You could do that with carriers on repeat orders - less efficient of course...

Re: Planets automatically launching fighters and sending them to
You can't do this with fighters, but you can auto-route ships using waypoints and adjusting your queue settings.
In simultaneous games, you can auto-launch units, but still not auto-route them to a destination.

Re: Planets automatically launching fighters and sending them to
To set a waypoint, use the CTRL + # (# = 1-9) at the location where you want the waypoint to be. In queue settings, scroll down and you can select a waypoint of your choice to send new ships to.
In simultaneous, the repeat orders button can be toggled for orders like launch X units or launch all units. I seem to recall some mechanics issue why it doesn't work in sequential mode, but can't elaborate any further... I haven't really messed around that much with 'batch orders' in sequential.
Re: Planets automatically launching fighters and sending them to
For alternative, you could make a freighter and set it to gather the fighters to oone location, and put it on repeat orders. This is not as good, but saves supply and does make your life a bit easier.

Re: Planets automatically launching fighters and sending them to
I don't remember where but there's a function that tells a planet to automatically route stuff to a certain location. Maybe you might have accidentally turned it on?
