cause im trying to make space empires 5 alot funner i just need new ideas about components ships/unit sizes and facilities i just need to know ideas and what they do if possible also email is if you have any ideas you wana directly tell me

Another thing, u could improve just the look of the system. For example, u could add moons and planet rotation around the sun but keep the same hexagon select or tab. Moons could be the site of research or if u destroy them ,planetry chaos.
U could also add indigenous species that u find in tech or on a planet with a tech like symbol. U could have to destroy them or ally with them making the troop invasion thing more important. U have tons to choose from in that idea and plenty of species to go with.
Another thing u could add more race pictures, a hint would be to go into greek, egyptian and roman mythology and religious Factors.
My biggest idea and thought is to improve the combat. Especially the ground. I think u should have more control and improved scenery relating to the planet construction. If there is a construction going on then show that. Also if the space station idea put into the space combat.
I no that we have the option for space staion, but, i do not mean a space station like that. I mean like u have say a big planet so u have 40 slots. U can add different componentslike weapon bays and satelite fixtures. The base has default building and a small weapons bay. Therefore u can upgrade it without having tospend 10 mins designing something, then building and dealing with high maitenece costs.
Also u could level planets from different age points of view, it is not a new idea,but, every game uses some kind of base ranking.It could unlock building types OR u could add another idea.
Now before i go further with ideas learn that i ramble and pages i send can be and usually are 6 paragraphs with links to other ideas, so prepare to read long converses.
U could also have an option to create ur leader. So ur emperor can fight, be involved in conflict resolution and other public occasions.This then lets people play with their characteristics and enables them to relate to their own emporistic decisions.
This is more general, but, on my tech tree there is 1 page with a picture, which i think u should be able to fill with tech as the picture does not do much.
I tend to get things that i have written half about and just get another idea for.1 is that u could, in battle, display ur race fighting, again going bac to thids infantry, artillery and vehicles idea. These designs r again related to race and other faction Options.

The last final few thing before i stop to let ui reply is i have thought of a couple of super techs.U could use some human initative like ICBM's and EMP but maybe stronger.
Also, like ruins u could have indigenious species u have to fight or ally with. They could provide tech and map layout. Also if u have to fight them this would bring in the troops effect and make u use them.Then u bring in Troop transports that send troops on ropes like helicopters.

Another space idea here. Each faction may have 1 flagship.At 40 times the size of a dreadnought it is the largest ship ever. Only 1 is allowed due to it's immense size again u have say 100 build slot in or other customizable options.Also the homeworld is allowed 1 super station 10 times the size of a normal space station again with customizable slots and options.

Another improvement could be that, and i suppose this is probably more 4 me but a button in the ship list that allows u to name the ships without having to find and select them.

hay other ideas, u could have gatling guns using rockets,bullets and lasrers.
Another idea is the heatseeker missile or some kind of seeker.

Ok, first have ships require wiring and hardware components like a bridge as a necessary part. The standard wiring costs nothing as does the standard hardware. Then you add budget wiring and budget hardware to reduce cost of the entire ship 20% but also reduces it's structural integrity by 15%, whereas quality wiring/hardware is 20% more expensive and increases the ship's integrity by 10%. Add on like how better/worse wiring can change shield strength and recharge and better or worse hardware affects crew requirements and efficient use of supplies hence budget stuff using 5% more supplies so the long run it's a poor choice but is good for scrapping together a quick defense fleet or kamikaze mission fleet to run into enemy territory, because you get an extra ship free after 5 so that last one can even up the deficit. But, keeping such a fleet over time will cost you more than better ships. Anyone else agree with this? Oh and the standard parts will be cost free so players can elect to go with neither.

There is already a mod out there - called the Ground Combat Mod. I haven't played it yet (on my list) but it sounds interesting...and even if it isn't quite what you want at the very least it could be a good source of ideas.
Another idea that I would like to try...when I can get to it...create a variety of styles of each component? Ex, instead of just "ion engine I's" you could create a "high performance ion engine I" with greater speed but higher fuel consumption and increased cost and a "efficient ion engine I" (opposite of high performance) and a "shoddy ion engine I" (cheaper but lower structure and risk of wierd side effects), etc. This isn't really an original idea - I've heard it discussed elsewhere, but you could easily add your own touch to it.

How about tracker? Some kind of tow to tug an unsupplied ships or even starbases... You can reduce the movement in such way: every 4 mp of tow-ship will be 1 mp for the moving object..
But I can't even imaginate how you to do it)

Hey. I love space empires and think it is a very good game.I like being able to say wat could be better cause i play a lot of these kinda games,But, like u say it could be improved. I think u could develop the troop section more.
eg
U could research troops, then break that down into vehicles, artillery and infantry and broadcast exciting new weapons/designs to match.
U could add a map design but only enable system placement otherwise i tend to get lost and forget it.That way people who r defencive could add chokepoints and aggressive wide confrontation spaces.
Most of my ideas come from simply looking at the tech tree....Again u could add more super techs such as........Improved weaponry and other defencive and offensive upgrades.
Also with ship designs, maybe u could put a sign that saves that ship design, especially for bases, cause i always build the same base and it takes ages.While we r on space u could add trade and various upgrades with that.
Again u could upgrade each Map with forgotten realms, races that have fallen, like the ruins,but, jackpot style. Where u pick up tech cool designs and new buildings and other fantasy ideas.
Lastly, cause u r probably bored by now...U could improve the planet by adding continents and building placement. More building capacity..because on jupiter u wouldn't just get 25 buildings. U could also add a space side to it... a big space station for defence linked to race and other racial traits.
P.S Since the upgrades to the game, have u designed a new tech tree, mine is really out of date and it can be a little confusing wen 1 tech goes 40 lvls past wat it should!
