PBEM tips? API? |
My friends and I just picked up this game and have been playing single player to get used to the game. We did a quick multiplayer TCP/IP game over the weekend at a LAN party, but want to get a game going where we don't all have to be online at the same time.
I know you can do manual file transfers via email etc, but I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to keep the game moving quickly? Of course, ideally I'd like to have an automated process that did all the file transfers and turn processing running on a server somewhere, but I'm guessing such a thing doesn't exist - please let me know if I'm wrong.
Related question - does the SE V game have an API that programmers can access? Or scripting support, or anything like that which would make it possible to manipulate externally?
Thanks!

Re: PBEM tips? API?
Since it was at a LAN party, I assume you had a lot of players and thus played with Simultaneous Turns. PBW does Simultaneous only, not Sequential. But you wanted the game to move fast, so Simultaneous is what you seek.

Playing Touhou games (Go to this Wiki if interested. No, nobody else is that good/insane as that replay). No rush for SE

Re: PBEM tips? API?
http://www.pbw.cc is what you are looking for.
The game supports turn processing and such via command line switches, which makes PBW possible.
