End of turn processing stall using v1.63 patch |

Description
here is my problem. date in game is 2423.9 i start the turn process and the games stalls at the end turn process. now i have a new computer and i installed patch v1.63 right after i installed the game. now what i have noticed is if i go to a previous turn and change something like move a ship, avoid a battle, eliminate what i have building, eliminate what i am researching or other things i might get a turn or 2 farther. Please help need to play.

I too have this problem, but a different date. I have not currently been able to find a work around to it as I have in the past.

Thought this might help. This is my save game.
I have no mods, just the install and all the patches to 1.63
When I click end turn, I go through combat 2x and then it gets to "Processing end of turn" at about the "o" in processing the bar stops and my cpu shows 30%-40%.... I have let it go for 15 minutes once and still nothing happens. If I end the program, my cpu shows 1%-2%.
I have found a work around that is specific. Each time the game hangs during the processing of end of turn, it is when a sabotage effort is underway. If I change that to an espionage effort, then the hang does not occur. It is worth stating that it does not occur always when there is a sabotage effort underway. Though it only crashes when sabotage is there. Hopefully this localizes the problem.
This bug is fixed in v1.64. It is caused by an Intelligence operation where a new empire is formed.
when is the expected release of 1.64?
I'm not sure when MM intends to release the next patch.
