Armor Repair Bay |
Any possible way to make a repair bay, that ONLY repairs armor? I was messing around in the GUI and didn't see any way to specify it to be armor... In the ability description, the game doesn't even look at that right? It just looks at the type, and component is the only part.

I think you have to make this on component it's self. You could have something like nano-armor-repair bots. If you make a component that repairs ship tonage, it will repair the whole ship. But you can make a component that repairs it's self (like organic armor).

repair priority doesnt work anyway, i have it set with 3 colony types at the top of the space list and engines at the top of the component list, what happens ? attack ships get repaired before colony ships. I have been waiting three turns for the engines on my coloniz(s)er to be fixed. While every other ship is being fixed. Should they be at the bottom of the list for top priority ?
This is with a captured colony ship "Colonizer (Rock)" but the list specifies "Colony (Rock)" (BM 111), maybe it is a text mismatch.

I think that you can simulate Only Armor Repair Bay by using a sort of iif in the ability.
You can add the self repair ability to all armor, but in the formula you make like this
if sector as "armor repair bay" then 20
Now I'm not at home, so I don't remember the exact way to write this formula, but when I'm back to home, I try it.

Go to Empire options, Repair priorities. You can rearrange the what gets repaired first. If you want armor repaired first, move it to the top.
This won't make the repair bay ONLY repair armor, but it will prioritize what gets repaired first.
