Several questions from a newb . |

After about 2 weeks of playing this game i got some questions .
1. Is the cruiser the main ship of your fleets to ? I came to the conclusion that battleships and dreads don't realy have a role . So far heavly researched cruisers whit anti-proton beams and heavy shields have proven to be the best . Is there any other type of fleet that can be as fast but even more deadly ?
2. I've been playing whit the condition solo survivor all the time but so far i had some problems whit the fact that there where no more enemy ships or planets but the game didn't gave me the victory . Do you have to kill every satelite and mine field to win or is this a bug ?
3. I haven't realy played whit them but is the Organic and Crystalin tech worth it ? And if the answer is yes can someone point out the advantages ?
4. The enemy managed to sabotage 2 of my planets and change the conditions to deadly . I have a nature shrine in the system but it has done nothing to improve those planets after they've been sabotaged . What can i do to bring my planets back to normal ?
5. I play whit and emotionless O2 breatthing race is it worth conquering other races and inhabiting whit them CH4,H2 and C02 planets or am i better off modyfing the atmosphere ?
6. Is Stellar Manipulation worth the research on v1.58 normal SEV ?

3. Simply stated, yes. Both of these traits/techs give you certain weapons and components which can be very beneficial. There was an earlier post titled (I think) "Optional Techs" where several gamers have posted their opinions. Example of advantages for organic are Organic Armor which can regenerate itself in battle and Ordanance Vats which produce new ordanance on ships, similar to Solar Collectors which produce supplies.
6. I would say yes, but you could argue it depends on your game settings and strategies. Stellar Manipulation gives you several stellar altering components for ships and bases. The only facility you gain is the Monolith Facility which can take the place of 1 each of Mineral Miner, Organic Farm, and Radioactives Extraction facilities, saving you facility space on your planets. Also advance levels gives you the ability to destroy and create warp points yourself.

4. I haven't had Nature Shrines. A Value Improvement Plant improves planet conditions over time. Except...until the new 1.62 update next week Deadly planets are currently stuck that way.
5. I think most agree that you should use the other races in your empire to colonize planets of different atmospheres. They are nown here as "Breathers". If you are short some Breathers of atmospheres then build an atmosphere improvement plant on those planets. Or trade or take or exchange program in diplomacy for races.
