Ergie's map creator |

I have tried various times to get this to work... having a variety of errors. Is this in still having a lot of errors for everyone or am I using this wrong?
currently I can create a txt map file that looks authentic, but when I use his "generate map button" I get "run time error #70 permission denied"
and when I use MM's compiler to process the txt file I get a whole bunch of "unknown values"
I think I've got all the Paths pointing correctly (after I got rid of that spanish word in the root dirrectory)...
Is anyone else working on a map creator, or has anyone else been able to use ergie's editor?

The German version has an English language option when you install it.

Great thx to fyron. it works with the official map compiler, when i install the game in english 
then i doesn't need to order the us-version.

Now i have a new problem..
when i start a game with a self-created map, all the objects aren't shown in the system on the write places. they are shown on one point outside the system (left). the objects are in the system, but invisible. i can build ships, warp etc. even changing the system with a ship doesn't help, like sometimes in the game.

I have nearly the same problem.. but with the official map-compiler from strategy first. i also get an error message from the map-compiler. first i had the problem, that ergies map creator produces, off course, txt-files for the english map-compiler, and i have a german one so the map-compiler didn't knew some words like Nebulae (in the german map-complier "Nebelwolke"). after some manual changings in the language txt-file it nearly has worked. but then i got the error message from the map compiler: "access violation in adress 304892C. Read of adress 304892C."
i'm thinking off buying the US-version, but after buying the german version for 40€ i don't want to pay another 27$.
i would be happy if i could send somebody my txt-file or the text as a pm, so he could make a map with the us-map-compiler, that i finally can play with my selfcreated map.
