Any auto fast combat settings?

Is there anyway to set the combat on auto 8x or 16x speed? I already use the mine trick of stopping the Ai from bothering me at a warp point.

I have one WP that I dropped 60 fighters on and the Ai keeps sending 1 ship at me.... I guess I may have to go build some mines again.
