Hey I started a PBW game for Balance Mod 1.09 (SEV 1.44) over at the PBW site! The game is titled War and Civilization: SEV PBW. I set the players to 10 but once it hits 6 I might start it if the waiting gets too long. 48 hour turns to accomodate your busy work schedules! (me included LOL)
Afraid you'll get swarmed by veterans? Don't fear! I'm a noob myself! A newcomer in this fierce online world! Remember that the goal is to have fun here! I for one wouldn't mind getting beaten so long as I had fun... and I've fought a good fight 
:). It's not skill that makes a game fun but attitude primarily I believe so.

This is my first time to create a game so my guess is as good as yours. Aside from this game, I also signed up to several other games as well. It doesn't take me long to finish a turn so being in multiple games eases the waiting time.
I hope others join within a week so we could start.

HI I would like to join in.
How many Tec points to start with, a few would make for a more varied start.
Can we use non standard ship sets?
Will add empire once I have answers to the above.

It looks like Crian specified 'low' tech, (one option above 'none' on the menu) so that's what I did for my empire. As for ship sets, I don't know. I don't have any custom ship sets at the moment--does each person need all of the custom sets in the game for it to work correctly, or not?

I'd recommend you wait until the next SE:V patch is ready. Then you'll be able to start the game with the new patch and new version of the Balance Mod. Games started with v1.09 will not be upgradeable to v1.10!
It shouldn't be too much longer for the next patch.

That being the case, Crian, how about we start now as just 2 player? I just want to try this out and see if it works first. Then we can do a fully-loaded game when the new patch hits.

I also would like to join the game. It will be my first multiplayer game and I would like to have some experience with PBW before the new patch comes out, too.

Otherwise and Bluebel, you're right, I would love to have played at least one game before the new patch hits and BM 1.10 comes out... so I'll be starting the game now with 3 players ready.

To the other two, OK let's start! I'm not too sure how this works ok but I've read the instructions over and over so there shouldn't be any problems. Let's post here if there are any problems ok?

OK, the game has begun! To RandallW, sorry I had to kick you because you hadn't uploaded your empire file yet and waiting for it would delay the game again .
Next time everyone please upload everything needed immediately OK? Otherwise and Blubel, take your turns and let's see if we know what we're doing LOL.
