A ringed planet solution... maybe?

Soumis par Dvoongar le Dim, 2007-09-16 04:15
Project:Space Empires V
Version:1.44
Component:Code
Category:bug
Priority:normal
Assigned:Unassigned
Status:active

Description

It seems that the woes of ringed planets are almost all caused by the ring being treated as a solid object. In other games the ring is just there for looks, but ships can freely move and shoot through the rings.

Perhaps if the ring were made into merely a visual effect these bugs would be solved. I hope.

Even if it works I can't take credit for the idea. Bummer.
