Space Empires V General
ok i'm a noob, changed the music files as discribed in the forum (added mp3s, changed settings.txt file) worked fine for about 2 songs (ones i added), ended turn and then got stuck on one of the standard songs...played 3 times in a row. Started a new game and same thing happened...any ideas out there?

I know a little bit about modding, and the best I can recommend is to do some error checking to look for commonly made mistakes.
Make sure song file names in settings.txt match the names of the mp3 files you added. It could simply be a typo in one of the song file names.
Make sure the "Number of Main Songs" entry is correct.
E.g., if there are 15 main song filenames listed, that entry should read 15.
If all else fails, check the Music folder and make sure that the mp3 files that should be there are in actually in there.
Overall, I'm thinking one of the above possible problems is causing the game to be unable to find/play a song, causing it to default to the last song it could play, rinse and repeat when song ends, so it stays on the same song.
If that doesn't help, then we wait for someone who actually knows what they are talking about, because my technical knowledge is limited when it comes to this kind of stuff...
