but you have to install Steam to play it.
Is this necessary for all copies of SEV? I hate steam sooooo much!!!

The retail version from EB doesn't require Steam, and I presume the others are the same way.

The only time you'll need to steam to play SE:V is if you buy it on Steam. And even then, you might not even need to run steam to play, which is what I did with SE:IV. It was able to run without ever launching steam, so I'm hoping the same will be true for SE:V.

I really hope so ..... because I just bought this game through the Steam system.

I live in Holland and also have talked to several game shop keepers here in town and even in several other towns and nobody had ever heard off Space Empires. Help those people sell computer games and they dont know the greatest strategic sf game ever made those people should change their job to dishwasser or something

We'll to make a long story short, steam was the only way for me to get a copy of SEV in my gready little hands (he he he Evil laughter !!! )

So next week my boss will have to hire a extra person because Iam propably not available iam feeling a flue comming on
