Does anyone know what is the maximum number of warp points we can have in one system?

I think there is some confusion because there are actually two questions being answered:
1. What is the maximum number of warp points that SE5 will place in a system when it creates the galaxy?
2. What is the maximum number of warp points that can be created using stellar manipulation?
The answer to question 1 depends on the type of quadrant, or galaxy, that was selected at the beginning of the game. The default quadrant type is "Mid-Life Galaxy", which will create at most 5 warp points in a system. If you're using a mod such as Fyron's Quadrant Mod (or Balance Mod, which also integrates FQM) then you have other types of quadrants (galaxies) available. Some of these alternate choices, such as the "Pseudo-FTL," will create up to 10 warp points in a system.
Create a new game in order to experiment with various quadrant types. You can use the "Generate Map" button to preview the quadrant before you get into the game. In this manner you can see the huge difference between different quadrant types.
The answer to question 2 is that you can probably create as many warp points as will fit. Each sector can potentially contain a warp point, so if there are 100 sectors in a system then you could potentially create 100 warp points. Note that I haven't tested this theory; there might actually be a hard-coded limit which is not documented, or the game might crash if you create too many warp points.
Also, I do not know if it is possible for a system to contain multiple warp points with the same destination (i.e. system A contains two separate warp points to system B). I've never tried it.

That maximum number of warp points for a system is 10 - artificial or natural.

Erm, not quite.
If there are two warp points already in the system, occurring naturally, then you can create 8 more, to bring the system's total to 10. If there are 8 occurring in the system naturally, then you can only create two more, bringing the total to 10.
As Captain Kwok said, the warp point max for a system is 10. It does not matter if they're natural or artificial.

It depends on the quadrant type. Otherwise, as many as the system can hold I think...
