Evilhamburger's EvilMod 1.0.0-Main Release

General
Version 1.0.0 has been released! This is the new version history! 001. Changed - Warp Drive decreased bad parts and increased good bits :P 002. Removed - Precursor Studies 003. Added - Unique ruins 8, and I tied them into precursor tech and weapons. There is a 0.1% chance of finding it. (Instead of 0.5%) 004. Fixed - Again, I am fixing the engine bug for scouts. 005. Fixed - Baseship Construction was not working. 006. Added - Asteroids can now damage ships. 007. Addded - Small Space Yard Facility. 008. Changed - All industrial facilities (resource, construction, etc) now damage planet conditions.

i got the newest version of se5

hi im using the editior and i got like 1.77 or something se5 the newest one and i keep geting a code error i have se 5 installed on my computer i tried installing the editor in the folder with se5 and in program files to and it still doesnt work is thier any other programs that need to be on the computer in order to run ?

Space Empire V LITE Mod 1.06

Data Mods
With the condensed Technology Tree I felt like we needed a few unique items for researching higher levels. To remedy this I added rewards for reaching higher levels in certain techs (Vehicle Systems, Engines, Hulls, Space Ports, Anti Proton Beams, Meson Cannons). Also, since I pulled the special racial techs I decided to add them in as rewards for finding ancient ruins on planets. Colonizing a world with a Ruin is still random, so you will get an existing tech advanced or access to a new type of technology. Version 1.06 (March 2008) --------------------------- 1. Corrected typo in Flak Cannon.

I have been reading the various posts about the games complication and cult like appeal. As many of you know this game can be very overwhelming to the new player and especially to someone with little 4X experience.

What I've done here is take CaptainKwok's BalanceMod and strip it down to what I would call the bare essentials. This version still maintains all the galactic feel, but with what I would call less complication. All the key ingredients of strategy and play are still here, but on a smaller scale.

I think this version will have some nice unforeseen advantages. I think the AI will do better with less to work with. Also, the games should play fast and efficiently.

Highlighter User define lang for NOTEPAD plus plus

A new highlighter/User define lang for NOTEPAD++ for SEV up to patch 1.74 for scripting only. Hope it's helpful...

Instruction to add the new highlighter/User define lang to NOTEPAD++. I got it from the project forum off the sourceforge.net site.

1. Download the file and remove the _.txt at the end.

1. type %APPDATA%\Notepad++ in Run box, then Enter, there'll be a opened folder appears.

2. In the opened window,Add the file you download it should be named "userDefineLang.xml".

3. relaunch Notepad++ and it should work.

Suggested Plugins
1. Compare Plugin := A very useful diff plugin to show the difference between 2 files (side by side).

DevnullMod 1.66.0

Game Mods
An update to DevnullMod for Space Empires V version 1.66. There are a ton of changes in this version:

Note:
1.66.1 will hopefully have a modified set of AI scripts to deal with all the changes. For now, I'm including the AI from Balance Mod 1.11 until I get a chance to delve into the arcane mysteries of the AI scripts and modify them for DevnullMod. The included AI is good, though it won't take advantage of any of the changed tech or components and may have some problems for this mod. If you give the AI a high difficulty and a high bonus, though, it may still provide some challenge in a single-player game. 1.66.0 of DevnullMod is definitely an interim release, however, that is mainly intended for PBM multi-player testing.
