Re: SE:V Changelog v1.45
Excellent fixes here. 1,2, 8, 9, 10 all needed! Thanks!

Re: SE:V Changelog v1.45
Set leader at last!!!!
That's it, I don't consider SEV a beta anymore!
I thought 6 and 8 were already fixed... but I guess he had to explicitely put them in the changelog!
11 is great, I only hope it won't distort the Construction Queue too much.
Re: SE:V Changelog v1.45
Does 11 now mean that we will have a function to get that number? aka an easy way to check if we are building a facility in the system with system wide properties allready.
Re: SE:V Changelog v1.45
Thanks to MM. It's good to know that the community is being heard. Makes SEV a really good game to own and support.

Re: SE:V Changelog v1.45
Any news about the expansion he's working on?
Re: SE:V Changelog v1.45
How could he be working on an expansion if the original isnt even polished yet?

Re: SE:V Changelog v1.45
What expansion?
Re: SE:V Changelog v1.45
nice to see the good work is being kept up all the fixes below are things which I feel begin to aply some polish now the rough bits are sorted out.
Re: SE:V Changelog v1.45
Will the colonize/move order bug in 1.44 be fixed? It when you select a target in another system with the hotkey and the ship(s) are deselected.

Re: SE:V Changelog v1.45
In his online chat when SEV was released he mentioned working on an expansion pack.
Re: SE:V Changelog v1.45
If you push the hotkey before selecting another system, the ships will remain selected. The bug still needs fixing, but in the mean-time you can continue giving such orders to multiple ships in this manner.
Re: SE:V Changelog v1.45
Also you can right click on what you want to send them to and click the option that comes up. that works fine.
Re: SE:V Changelog v1.45

I would not expect it to come out any time soon. Maybe 2008.

.... i hope 2009, right as patch 2.71 comes out to finish up SE 5....

Re: SE:V Changelog v1.45
There are WAY too many bugs in SEV to consider a expansion pack yet! And BTW I changed my opinion, SEV is still a "beta" for me. (Some annoying bugs I forgot about, and new bugs in 1.44...)

Re: SE:V Changelog v1.45
But MM needs to still needs to pay the bills, and patches don't do that.

Re: SE:V Changelog v1.45
Of course. The whole video games payment system should be rethough IMHO. I think that having to pay for new patches would be fair.
Re: SE:V Changelog v1.45
That would be absolutely terrible. Ship a broken product, then require money to fulfill the promises of the original?
If "patches" only added brand new features, maybe. But as long as patches are fixing bugs, charging money for them is absurd.
Re: SE:V Changelog v1.45
Yah, fix the bugs and optimize the game first, then start making buyable expansions.
From what I remember though, Aaron stated that he *wanted* to do an expansion, not that he was already working on one.

Re: SE:V Changelog v1.45
I was talking about games in general. Not everyone has the money to make nearly bugless games like Blizzard does. For SEV, looking at how the game was bugged when released, you'd have to have the original game practically for free.

Re: SE:V Changelog v1.45
Blizzard makes nearly bugless games??
Re: SE:V Changelog v1.45
lol
yea.... if the pos game was free.

Re: SE:V Changelog v1.45
Blizzard tends to release games "when they are ready". I don't remember experiencing any major bugs in their games.
Re: SE:V Changelog v1.45
There've been some serious ones in Diablo2. but they got fixed relatively soon. It's probably just that they have more time to playttest before shipping.
Re: SE:V Changelog v1.45
The Little Green Man does it AGAIN!!!!.........
For the love of God someone pay $$ this MAN$$$$!!!!......
Next question will the "AI" Kick my A__ yet?..?...
My hats off to you again Capt. Kwok, Thanks for what you have done and for all that you do this BUD'S for Me -I mean you!
Best Regards
Stardog

Re: SE:V Changelog v1.45
Even if Captain Kwok deserves great praise (as also do to some extent others modders and beta-testers), I think we should rather thank Aaron Hall here (the Malfador Machinations incarnation).
Re: SE:V Changelog v1.45
Well these things I did not know ....So in the light of these new findings ..... I Wish to Thank you all for your hard work and dedication..
Because of your efforts..... Dates with the future wife get broken, Grass goes uncutt, The study still has not been painted and lastly Saturdays Melt/TimeWarp into Sundays!!..
But I my defence ...Always Remember...>>>>
"The squeaky wheel gets all the grease!.."
Thanks again

Re: SE:V Changelog v1.45
Where do you get v1.45? Is everyone who posted to this thread a beta tester?
Re: SE:V Changelog v1.45
Captain Kwok is a beta tester. AFAIK, everyone else is just saying they're glad that bugs they've encountered are going to get fixed.
"Good morning, Pooh Bear," said Eeyore gloomily. "If it /is/ a good morning," he said. "Which I doubt," said he.
Re: SE:V Changelog v1.45
Been thinking about #10. It's something we really needed.
Is it too late to ask... Will the AI be setting appropriate TF leaders also, or just humans?

Re: SE:V Changelog v1.45
Great, especially 8, 10 and 11!
