Fighter squads question |
Hi I have a problem in SE5 (in SE4 also)
I have a squad of 60 fighters - how I can divide them to 2x30 (without docking 30 of them to carrier and then launch them again which eat move points)??
Same question in space combat simulator:
whan I add new fighters - no matter what I do they are in same fighter group.
In SE4 (in haven't tried in SE5 yet but I guest it's same)
when there is one fighter group present in same sector where carrier is - when you launch fighter, they will join that group - is there is a way to launch them as separated group - without moving fighter group or carrier to other sector - it's question for SE5 (if this disturbign thing is present in Se5).

Re: Fighter squads question
You can set it to pause every 0.5 seconds or whatever in combat, making it nearly turnbased.
I'll be watching this thread for answers to the fighter group question.

Re: Fighter squads question
You can't split the fighters except by loading them and moving the others away, then relaunch them. Yes, i agree it crazy and drawn out, but currently its the only way.
Re: Fighter squads question
Yep, and whats worse is when you have a big fighter group, and 2 of them have damaged engines, and there is no repair near by, and the whole group is stranded.

Re: Fighter squads question
Can't you auto-destruct the damaged fighter?
Re: Fighter squads question
Yep, which is just what I ended up doing. Splitting fighter groups would be nice, and better than being forced to junk damaged crates.

Re: Fighter squads question
One more thing:
Does combat is now real-time only or there is an option to make it turn base like SE4??
