Resupply a Base |
I've reached the point where I can finally place a ship building component on a ship, so I can build bases in remote locations. As a defensive manuever I want to build a base on a warp point in an empty galaxy (there are no plants in the galaxy for me to build on.
Is there a good way for me to resupply my base with ordanance in the event of a conflict? Is there any tech the allows me to create a resupply line essentially, or would I have to run a ship with extra ordanance/supplies out to it every so often to keep it stocked up?
Re: Resupply a Base
when you get to the higher tech levels, you can put supply generators on ships/bases
Re: Resupply a Base
If you put enough supply/ordinance pods, you won't have to refill it very often. If they actually get to fire off a decent amount of shots, they probably won't last too long anyway, unless you are busy repairing them.
Re: Resupply a Base
you can give it solar panels(for supply). And if you're organic you can use Ordinance vats.

Re: Resupply a Base
The only thing that comes to mind is to build the base with supply/ordinance storage and keep a freighter handy at the nearest system with a depot. But theres got to be a better way. Can solar sails be fitted on a base? You'd get some free regeneration that way. Arming the base with weapons that use supply instead of ordinance might help.
