Description
The first tech level of the Ion Engine displays a Size of 10kt and a Structure of 20kt, but takes up 20kt of space on a Colony Ship hull.
I have not confirmed whether or not this affects subsequent tech levels or other hull types.

This is certainly strange behavior, but this is not reproduceable, at least not with the information given. I just added a level 1 ion engine to a colony ship hull, and it took up the correct tonnage, 10kT.
