Balance Mod Pending Updates |

Greetings!
Just wanted to keep those interested informed of the upcoming plans for the Balance Mod.
I'm working on v1.09 to be released with the next SE:V patch. So far it's a few AI improvements and a couple of data file fixes. It should also be compatible with the German/French versions of SE:V, assuming that capacity is added by the patch.
After that, I'll be working on v1.10, which will definitely be a save-game and PBW breaking version. It will feature major AI updates (stellar manipulation usage, cloak usage, etc), a new set of override slots and whatever data file tweaks that are felt necessary. This version will likely be posted at the end of the summer since I'll be away most of July and will need a significant amount of time to test with the AI work.
If all goes well with v1.10 and there's no real issues with it then I'll consider it the final version for now. That will give me the time to work on the new Galaxy Mod.

My thanks as well.
I'm a bit surprised a 1.42 or 1.43 patch wasn't released Monday. I'm presuming everyone would want to get this and BM 1.09 out and cleared before the Cdn./US national holidays. (yes??)

Woah... the 2nd? There have already been 7 changelogs since the last patch, and you're expecting another week before release? I'm hoping that means MM is implementing something rather impressive, such as the AI memory I (and others no doubt) suggested...

May i make a suggestion: can you please focus a bit on the en turn speed? The game as it is in unplayable of a medium-large map, even though the AI of the balance mod is 10x better than the stock one...

turn speed isn´t a thing the modders can change, it´s on the to do list of MM

And the memory leak? My game slows to a crawl after about 10 turns or so, requiring exit (which takes about 2 or 3 minutes to save) and then reboot-restart. On exit it's eaten so much memory that my poor computer fights just to display my desktop icons!
But your fantastic mod keeps me coming back, Kwok, no matter the pain.
All that is done before the naked stars is remembered

memory leak is also a job for MM, if i understood it right it had something to do with not deleting movement replays or so....and that takes more and more memory every turn.

Patch 1.44 resolves those issues with memory usage and turn processing times. 
Now I just hope for a quick release of BM.

BM 1.08 works in SE5 1.44, so at least you have something to play while Kwok wastes away his time.
