Star Wars Universe Mod

Hi there!
Right now I am thinking about a mod covering the star wars universe. I already implemented the existing shipsets done by others. What I am especially interested is bringing more "adventure" into the game. I am thinking of new tech trees including "Jedi Knights", "The dark force", "The Force", "Yoda", "Luke Skywalker" and so on. For example a mod could probably created, where you have to find a certain planet with "ancient ruins" (could be renamed), where you find, let's say, Yoda, which gives you access to "The Force" tree, or, for the evil empire, you find Darth Vader which in turn gives you access to a tree where you can construct a "Death Star" and so on. The possibilities are huge. Anyone interested?

Maybe you could factor in Knights of the Republic stuff as well, Battle Meditation would work well with using fleets, maybe a nice increase in attack and defense.

Should be interesting if you can actually complete it.

sounds interesting but i don´t think it will work so well in SEV.
most of the stuff is for individual units, like having a character on one ship.
but SEV is more a game that uses masses of ships or units.

I think it could be done if you do it in a general way with regards to the characters which is what Samichlaus is saying...if I understand correctly... that instead of finding a ruin you find a person who gives you access to a tech...he's not talking about individual people on ships... I think that is a very gd idea that would work well with SEV.

Here's a question having to do with this idea... Currently do units in cargo bays give any help in stats to the ship holding them. Didn't I read somewhere that you could make units in a cargo bay have an effect on the ship carring them? I think this concept has been used in adding captains or generals (but these may have been components).

If this could work then you put some cargo space in the crew quarters, then the question would be could you script in the creation of a unique units? or have a check to only create one type of a unit per empire.

any thoughts?

captains have been used in the star-trek mod for SEIV but they where components not units.
