Re: Unnamed's Upgraded Stock AI Mod version 1.03 Released
Yes, this is a proper mod and as such it goes in the gametypes folder like other mods do.
I'd finally gotten around to firing up a game using the previous release of this and I've got to say, it's a vast improvement. Hadn't gotten too deep into the game yet but the AI's I'd met were actually still kicking, and it looked like still expanding. I'll have to put a stop to that. (grin)
I always play finite resource games, and I noticed that they still starved themselves out very quickly on minerals, though. Nearly every world they had was mineral-depleted by the time I found it, and my empire still has most of its minerals intact. I foresee a dim future for my neighbors as they try to make spaceships out of wood and woven baskets, heh.

Re: Unnamed's Upgraded Stock AI Mod version 1.03 Released
What if I just wanted to overwrite my stock AI files? Can I just install into the main dir's?
The stock AI just isn't worth playing. No point in even keeping it.
All that is done before the naked stars is remembered
Re: Unnamed's Upgraded Stock AI Mod version 1.03 Released
You could, but when you update the stock game with the next update, the enhanced AI files would be overwritten and lost.
If you put the AI mod in the gametypes folder, it will survive any updates intact. (whether the updates mess with how the AI mod works is another story)

Re: Unnamed's Upgraded Stock AI Mod version 1.03 Released
sounds nice
btw can i just make a new folder in gametypes and use that as a seperate mod?
(without having to overwrite anything)
