Improved Facility Scrapper to scrap value improvement type facilities when optimal/best values are reached

Since there is function to return conditions etc., how did you tell the AI when a planet has reached optimal conditions - perhaps via the events log?

I downloaded the most recent version, but several .txts are corrupt. WinRAR gives an 'unkown method' error, and says the file doesn't actually exist in the archive. Most of the top level files have this error, and a lot of the speech files do, too.

Sorry Thy Reaper, working on that issue at the moment, I took down the corrupted zip. But now it wont let me upload a new one. It says I've exceeded my space limit, even though I have deleted my old files. I'll put a new link up as soon as I can.

I ask because currently there is no way to inquire via the scripts a planet's conditions so I was wondering how you did that one specifically.

Yeah I figuered as much. I asked about a function for it a little while back. I havent done it yet. I considered doing what you said and messing with logs, but I've decided to hold off on it for the moment. So currently my facility scrapper doesnt handle condition improving buildings, only value and atmo converters.

Unnamed, do you know if this can be applied to an existing game?

The AI in my current game refuses to build planetary defenses or troops, or properly stock it's carriers with fighters. Does your upgrade fix that?

Hey Antarian,

I think it should work with saved games, but not 100% sure. There were some adjustments to the demand for troops, weapon platforms, and fighters but I did not mess with any of the scripts determining where they are built or how carriers load fighters.

Currently the system determines the demand for units at the empire level and planets randomly get the units. (There is a transport minister that should even out the distribution, but it doesnt seem to keep up). So planets that are nearest to enemy systems have no higher priority for troops and units than a core system far from the fight. This is something I'm thinking about fixing. I have a lot of things I want to fix and not enough time to hit them all right now.

Download the mod to the gametypes folder in SEV (using link below to get latest versions). Extract the game to that same folder (using winzip). You should now see a folder called either Unnamed's Upgraded AI or Unnamed's Upgraded AI with FQM. Start up SEV and start a new game, it should give you the option to play either standard or Unnamed's. Choose Unnamed's. Send me a personal message if you need more help.
