Just Chip in for Gas! |

I had 3 ships stacked together in the same sector. They had different portions of their movement allowance remaining after having already moved that turn. One had 1 point left, another had 3 points left, but a third ship had its full 12 MP's remaining. I combined the units as a fleet and was able to move a full 12 spaces!
HOY!
Also: showing names of ships, units, planets, etc is an illegible mess, especially if items are stacked.
Also also: It seems whenever I respond to a post here on the forum, posting returns me to the SEU home page and not back into the forums.
Y'all tryin' to tell me something?

Font file?
Where is the font size and stuff specified?
I'll give 'er a spin
EDIT: [game]\Data\MainFonts.txt,
The section is GAME_FONT_SCREEN_DISPLAY_LARGE
You can change the font by putting a new truetype font file in [game]\Fonts, and then changing the two lines that refer to file name and internal name. The internal name is listed when you double click a font file.
A fairly good (but somewhat crude) starting point can be had by setting Font Height := 8 and Font Color:= 130, 200, 230

Automatic tractor beams?
The problem is known, and you don't need them in a fleet to do so (and probably don't want to, as fleets are glitched and consume far too many supplies when you have more than a couple ships in one). Just select them all and have them move. Apparently, all ships have built in tractor beams that take no energy to use and don't slow down the carrying ship... even if it has to tow an entire fleet behind it.
