How do i make a map without ruins? Cant make it work

If for some reason the setting is not working, report it to malfador, then go into StellarAbilityTypes.txt and mod out the ruins abilities (setting number of abilities to 0 will work nicely).

Thought it was sumting i missed. I did that with no ruins thing and still ive found 2 of em so far. Reporting it now

how come "how to" has replaced "how do I" ?
anyway,
new game
game options
scroll down to gameplay options
check box "No ruins"
I *think* this has to be done before you generate the map though.
