Morbid G vs Javaslinger; How far will it go? |

First match on PBW ever. Default game setting and the such. My empire - Phire Society
Dear log,
"Today is a good day." The news message was spread across our homeworld, near and far. We have begun a new age. The Space Age. I know, when my advisers told me this I nearly laughed too. But, the silliness aside it is a great day indeed, for today marks the first Phire sent into space. The flight was successful but did not last long. There was not enough supplies to keep this Phire in space for more then a week. I spoke with our scientist and researchers and they have begun immediately drafting the designs to our first practical spaceship, Codename Skazz. It will be difficult to make a ship that can withstand the harshness of our homeworld, a gas world, but I believe it can be done.
All that aside, I received and interesting radio signal on my radioscope this evening. I don't ever use the thing for more then play. I like to pick up random signals from space and analyze them, sometimes I just like to listen to them. But this one sounded kind of like speech, but I'm not really sure, it was just some odd slurring mixed with strange wisping and what sounded like delayed static. What makes me think it is speech is while I was listening to it more intently I noticed some of the sounds were repeated and more or less the same. What's even more troubling is it came from within this galaxy... Well I'm sure it's nothing but some star spewing out random gibberish.

Re: Morbid G vs Javaslinger; How far will it go?
From the Archives of the Mannich Empire:
In the course of time, he history of the Mannich Empire was not a long one. In fact they were well aware that others had existed and reached heights of achievements on their very own planet that they could barely dream of. It was in fact, this very notion that was the cornerstone of the principles of their empire.
Long ago, archaeologists had discovered bits and pieces of a long dead empire. As research continued into this interesting find, 'interesting' became stunning and eye opening. Eventually, much was learned about this ancient empire. They had been called the Baraku empire and had reached heights of technology that was simply difficult to believe had there not been proof throughout the homeworld. They were spacefarers and had reached deep within the galaxy to establish a truly vast empire.
However, a time came when they met another race. A viscious race... the Myrathians. War ensued and over time they were defeated and enslaved. Across the universe the people of the Baraku empire died off gradually under the grueling conditions of their enslavement.
Only on their original homeworld did they manage to survive and even prosper a bit despite the unimaginable cruelty of their overlords. Working feverishly and tirelessly they hoped for one day to be free again. On a fateful day - they rebelled... and for ages war ravaged their planet... The Myrathians sent more and more troops to quell the rebellion... Hope was fading as they were seemingly bound to be crushed once again by their captors....
Yet they had told themselves long before the rebellion that there would be no going back. No defeat this time... No return to humiliating slavery... So they played their trump card and detonated a device that wiped out the entire planet save a very, very few hidden deep within the planet....
The planet was obliterated... The Myrathians wiped out.... And all but a tiny percentage of their own race as well. The planet was a shell with little left to even mine or harvest. So the Myrathians never returned and nothing is known what became of them. Save only that they never returned....
Over the next thousands of years the Baraku empire was forgotten as the survivors struggled against unimaginable odds to rebuild. Cataclysms, plagues, disease... They barely escaped complete extinction...
But after thousands more years, they managed a toehold existence and began to thrive once more. Their former existence had long been forgotten and only through the work of archaeologists were they ever to remember. Long lost technologies were found buried deep within the planet which enabled a quickening pace to their recovery. Old texts, archives of knowledge, clues about their history, and above all, warnings of what existed beyond their planet...
Today the Mannich empire has at last reached the levels of the Baraku as they first began to reach into space. Their people ripple with the excitement of what is to come. Yet they know what is out there. They are not infants to the space race having the dead Baraku to guide them. Their struggle to reclaim what was lost has made them a very different people. Determined, strong, resilient, and above all.... a Vengeful people....
Beware Myrathians... We are back....
And to others out there.. other space faring races... We do not again reach into space blindly. We will not make the mistakes of our long dead forefathers... We will strike first.. we will strike hard... we will strike unmercifully!
Our revenge will be delivered upon whomever we first discover in the vast emptiness of space....

Re: Morbid G vs Javaslinger; How far will it go?
Somewhere... on a far away plane of existence... an ascended being wakes up from it's sleep and feels a cold shiver run up it's spine... Sweating.. glaring around in fear...
With eyes pale white and a prophetic gaze he utters the words... 'They are comming!'
>>> Good luck on your match guys! Good luck to both of you.
You better be ready Morbid G. Javaslinger is a very strong opponent. And I think, even stronger now
> Good writing!!

Dear Log,
Well the researchers and scientist seem to have come up with some final designs and we are beginning construction of our first ships. I can't tell you anymore then that, those pricks over in Intel have told me its all very hush hush. All seems to be going well with our research into new space and troop technologies, not a lot to write about tonight
"My god! people say. You have so much self-control! And later: My god. You're so, so sick. When people say this, they turn their heads, you've won your little game. You have proven your thesis that no-body-loves-me-every-body-hates-me, guess-I'll-just-eat-worms. You get to sink back into your hospital bed, shrieking with righteous indignation. See? you get to say. I knew you'd give up on me. I knew you'd leave."
