How does one get a minelayer to lay down a minefield qucikly in a turn based game. What should be happening instantly in a regular game is taking 28 turns in a turn based game! WTH?

If your not in combat you only need 1 minelayer component to lay all the mines in your cargo, but there's a max of 100 mines per sector (hex). However, sometimes I can still deploy more mines, sorta weird, one time I had like 900 mines on one sector.

??? Depending on the tech level, each minelayer unit can lay 1 - 5 mines per turn. A minelayer ship with 20 minelayer units at L5 can lay 100 mines per turn. Not sure what your situation is.
