Game stalls on baseship finish |
When my baseship has 0.1 years left, i take the next turn and bam game stalls...i posted this in the FAQ's section but none have replied and i think its more of a bug then anything....boo hoo can't have my baseship =(...
Im running 1.35 (SE5) and BM1.05
Any help?
Elaboration -
Game stalls right before a baseship is finished, I see the "Processing all player turns" and it just hangs there...FPS stays at 60....task manager shows the game responding with it blinking between "SE5" and "SE5 end turn"
Thats all i have right now.

Oh yeah, and in combat simulations my baseship moves one or two pixels and then it seems to "stall" as well as the enemy ships do not move its weird really. But what is up with these base ships?!!! ARGH?!!?
Any ships placed in the simulator with a base ship will not seem to function they just sit there and don't do anything, then the time runs out.

One possibility is that there's a graphics file problem, either in the original game or the mod. Some things to try:
Create a new (not copy) baseship design of the same type, but put only the minimal components required and a few engines. Does it still have weird problems in the simulator? If this is a solo game, put aside a save to go back to and try building one, does it work?
If this new design has the same or similar problems, it's probably some sort of an error in the resources associated with that ship type; usually this sort of thing traces back to a mis-specified graphics, animation, or sound file somewhere; but it could also be problems with weapon firing points or something like that.
If a new clean minimum design simulates and builds OK, it's a problem with something on the ship. Look through your other designs that you've successfully built in this game... is there any component or mount that you haven't used before that might be the culprit? Try a copy of the problem design with suspicious things removed. If nothing is obvious, make a series of copies of the design, each with some sort of component deleted, and pull them into the simulator to see what breaks.

If you put the Baseship construction on hold, will the turn run? What components does the ship have?
