SEV Datafile Editor |
I'm working on a editor of SE datafiles. I have a very early working version to edit the following files:
Facilities.txt
TechAreas.txt
ComponentEnhancements.txt
What this version does is to add a gui to the editing process.
To use just put in your "Mod\Data" folder which must already have the three datafiles in it.
You need .net framework 2.0 for it to work.
Post comments on what you think.

Re: SEV Datafile Editor
He messed up his url code, just copy what url= at the end of his post into your browser.
This looks good, but I can't use it... damn .net framework... or lack of... Is there anyway to port it to a non-.net environ?

Re: SEV Datafile Editor
Not without starting over from scratch... Its not that big of a deal to install .NET, is it?

Re: SEV Datafile Editor
I see... Well, since I have no idea what .NET actually is, it is kind of a big deal for me
I'm sure google can tell me though

Re: SEV Datafile Editor
Its a microsoft thing. If you run windows you should get updates asking you to install .net framework 2.0 on a regular basis.
If you have an ATI video card, the CCC needs .net to run. Basically if are running windows, you don't need to worry about it.

Re: SEV Datafile Editor
I run XP and have never seen such an update request
And when I tried to run this editor it said
To run this application, you must first install one of the following versions of the .Net Framework:
v2.0.50727
Oh well...

Re: SEV Datafile Editor
Go here and hit "download" - it's just a set of libraries from Microsoft that many programs use, but apparently you haven't run into any such programs before now!

The power of the ancients is now yours to command. You are truly the Master... of the obvious

Re: SEV Datafile Editor
Cheers! Maybe I'm just lucky and don't use much stuff that relies on microsoft code... or not...
