Ship orders mysteriously change during game

Description

Gideon,

The ship orders seem to change without notice during the game. It's not just one ship being hijacked by enemy agents, it's every ship suddenly getting new orders. Probably just a placement error on the check for orders given section. Only annoying trying to remember which planets the 6 or 7 colonizers were headed to. Or the scout ship who leaves an unsurveyed system to go survey another system across the galaxy.

And BTW, Thanks for making life difficult. If you're smart enough to be top dog on your planet, you're smart enough to fight an alien to a draw at least.

Directive 721: Cover your own a$$ first. Solo

I've been noticing this too.

It appears (to me) that all ship commands are cleared at once for some reason.

It might have a connection to the AI changing state (Explore, Infrastructure, Attack, Defend).

Further investigation is required.

Its not a bug, its a "feature" Eye-wink...

Resolved:

Found within the AI that controls State Change.

Added a minister called "Clear Orders". Turn this minister off, and the AI will not clear the orders from your ships when its state changes.
