Please help me, my ship blocks my view |
Is there a way to reduce my ship so that it has a size that is in proportion to the rest of the system? Right now it has the size of about half a solar system. I find it very irritating.
My ship blocks my view to the hexagons under and around my ship. I can't see anything that is close to me such as planets or warp points. In this way I can't play the game.
Can anyone please help me?

Take a look in
Take a look in VehicleSizes.txt and maybe mess with the model scale factor or such field?

Any news about this problem? I have the same bug.
Maybe adjust graphic settings?
I don't have a clue what causes this bug. But I would try adjusting the various graphic settings accessible by pressing the SETUP button before you start a new game. I just wonder if it might be some sort of problem related to the graphics settings. Again, I have no idea if that will help. But it can't hurt to try.

I think this bug had been fixed with the last patches, I had this problens in the demo, but I didnt in the full game.

I have new patch 1.17 , but i have same problem.I can`t play this game.

while investigating the white flickering, I messed with DirectX acceleration and at some point, I managed to get ships of the same size as the systems. Enabling full acceleration again made the problem go away.
Try to change DirectX settings, try both auto and safe memory settings (in SE setup) and you can even try to set SE to use software to see if the problem goes away.
I hope this helps.

I have the same problem, but
I have the same problem, but after toying around with the Setup-Option of SEV at some point it was gone. Try to set a lower resolution AND Safe Memory settings AND Direct3d HAL (not Texture&Lighting) and check out if it´s gone. If it is, set resolution higher and try again. This worked for me.

half a solar system?
That's a bug, actually. Its happened before, but I can't remember how to fix it..
