Grand Lord Charles takes the helm of the great Zodiac Imperium having won the elections in a landslide. He ran on a platform of expansion into the unknown realms of space. Following are some exerts from his inauguration speech.
“Today is a great day not only for me but for all Alexans for we shall take the first steps off our own world and into the great beyond. These are exciting times we live in; the invention of the colonizing module will open literally the galaxy to us. I have already approved plans for our first set of ships to be built and they should start rolling out of the space yards in a few months. These ships, Polar Bears, will be the first to leave our planet and settle uninhabited worlds in our own solar system.
I have also asked our scientific community to focus there efforts on improving the engine and sensor technologies we employ now as I am working on an explorer class ship to speed our knowledge of our neighboring systems.”
Grand Lord Charles left the podium to a standing ovation indeed this reporter is also looking forward to the times ahead. This is Will Alderan for ZNN, goodnight!
