storms?, how to have more in a system

anyone know how to put more storms in a sysytem?, is there a limit on object as the file suggests?, or can we have a random number of storms per system to make it look less empty and provide ambush points and hidding places for overmatched ships?.

Anyone know how to put more storms per system?, whic files out i be looking at?. i had a quick look mbut could not see the file that generates storms.

You'd need to add more storm entries in SystemTypes.txt.

Thanks kwok, so one entry is one storm then?, more entrys means more storms, but iirc i saw an object limit, is that why storms have been limited in number?, so as to come in under the object number limit, or can i disregard thar cap on objects?.

Each Object is a separate entry, whether it be a star, storm, asteroid belt or planet and only applies to that particular system type. Also be sure too change the "Number of System Objs" just before Object 1 to the amount of total objects you have for that system type. Glance over the SystemTypes.txt file and save an original just in case. I think more objects can cause problems especially objects with animations but it depends on your system specs . But that may be up around 60. I haven't had any problems with 20-30 objects.

Ok, and thanks, so in *system types* the sytem objects are generated, and i can add any object defined in the file designed for objects within limit of 1000 such.

So i can cut and paste existing objects into this file, just edit the ring number where i want them generated, add the obj number, make sure the objects totals match the extra objects introduced and its adios right?. Ill try it over the weekend.

Obj 2 Physical Type := Storm
Obj 2 Position := Ring 7
Obj 2 Stellar Abil Type := Normal Storm
Obj 2 Specific Stellar Obj Name := Any
