Pursuit bug |

I ordered my boarding ship to seek & attack an enemy ship in a PBW game, and it did engage in combat with the enemy, but only once. Looking at the movement log, it appears that first my ship moved, then the enemy ship moved into the sector that my ship was already in. Then, after combat (I barely missed capturing him!
), the enemy ship fled and my ship didn't chase after it. I think this might be considered a bug... normally a pursuit order causes the ship to continually pursue, right?

Sometimes I queue up commands to attack the same ship a couple of times, if I really want to make sure I get it and it moves away. Perhaps that can also help? (Multiple attack-seek commands)-

Re: Pursuit bug
Double-check that your boarding ship hadn't used up its boarding parties; if you "barely missed", it might have been close enough that the boarding shuttles launched. This would mean the boarding ship wouldn't be able to board again until repaired, so it's logical that it would break off pursuit.
Even if the boarding ship has self-repair capability and is repaired by the next turn, that might cancel things out within the turn.
Also possible is that since an expended boarding party is considered damage, your ship broke off pursuit because it considered itself too damaged to attack, depending on your exact settings.
Of course, it could be a bug as well
