Crystalline Armor? |
Hi!
I've decided to give crystalline technology a shot -- I was attracted by some of their facilities, cool weapons, and awesome roleplay opportunities. But, I had a question: does crystalline armor recharge shields even if the shields haven't been penetrated yet?

The other question I had about crystal armor is does it give you shield points, even if you don't have shields? or if you shield generators are destroyed?

No. It will add shield points whenever the armor is struck by damage. So, say a 100 damage shot hit your last 30 shields points and did 70 damage to your armor. If you had 35 points of crystalline armor ability, you'd get 35 points added to your shields. So the next hit would have to get passed that shield amount again, meaning your ship can take more damage overall.
