HI again is there a mod out to add things like space monsters and pirates and all that other good stuff to SE5 yet?

There is a reference to monsters and comets in the settings.txt. I think arron must have planed them in...Maybee they will be used at somepoint in the future....

It'd be easy to simulate an empire made of monsters by doing a monster shipset. Making a racial trait and some unique techs would be nice too. then you have an actual empire of monsters to fight instead of just one.

Uber-powerful aliens like the Vorlon, Shadow, or New Orions are practically monsters in a game.

MoO2 was an awesome game. I seem to rememebr there were quite a few monsters, like the giant crystaline entity that would kill everyone on the planet and leaev it barren, they stole that off Startrek

Great game it was. The chief monster in MOO3 though was the AI.

Space Crystal, Space Eel, Amoeba, Antarans and the Guardian were all cool. Imagine to find a ring or sphere world in SEV in a system guarded by some pimped out super Dreadnought. Better yet, make that planet a spawning ground for monsters that get bigger and stronger (ship designs) as the planet develops

That would be a great starting ground for a New Orion type race.

Not yet. But you could always simply port it over from SE4... there isn't very much data involved for pirates, for example. Just a few components, a trait, a tech area, and a couple ship hulls.
