StarFury 2 wishlist

Soumis par PegasusJF le Sam, 2007-03-24 16:43 Star Fury General

Don't know if this has been said before, but since it is hinted that SF2 will follow SEV. I think it might be good to put up a wishlist. So please post, hopefully it'll reach the right person.

My sole wish for SF2.

It would be nice if the graphcis were improved, and be more realistic (larger planets, true 3d world and such), but I would prefer you work on this.

Make the game itself more real.

Make the ship traffic more realistic, freighters moving goods, warships patroling routes. A REAL trade economy! Realistic war, invasions, counter attacks, fleet actions, planets and systems changing hands, new stations being built, new planets being colonized, new star systems being discovered. Make the NPC universe as alive as possible, and non scripted.

Allow for covert missions, setting up secret bases (Asteroid fields would best be larger and navigatable to allow this), spy missions, or just be part of a large fleet.

Make SF2 like SEV, but instead of seeing it on a macro scale, you're part of the action "on the ground" so to speak.

Graphics will not matter, it can look like the original SF for all I care. I have NEVER seen this in any game of this genre, not Elite, not the X series, not freelancer, not hard war...nowhere.

I believe, if you pull this off, your game will become a true classic.

My 2 cents

God Bless

Oh, one thing I would like to note, Space Rangers 2, that game is the closest I've seen to true Emergent gameplay, it has most of the things I've mentioned.

I'd like the plot to talk instead of the text based stuff...

Agree, Pegasus. Space Rangers 2 is a nice one. But I have something else to add. Have anyone of you seen a space game containing more civil elements? I've been completely tired of taking exterminating missions -> space fighting -> debris collecting -> reporting & paid.
Doesn't this universe need some PRODUCTION? And everyone is so rich that he can get a cool space battleship for free? I think at least the starting condition should be costumized that you can choose for yourself to begin with a ship or not.
Another advantage for seperating character from the vehicle is it can make the spaceliners do the job that spaceliners should do. You can buy a ticket for &*^#% System or #$@% Planet if you cannot afford a private ship. We can see in Space Rangers 2 the spaceliners serve just the same mission as transports. No passengers in.
CIVIL stuffs! I truly hope there will be one game one day that make military serves economy. I would like to run a small store between to busy planets, sitting beside the dome, watching transports, escorts, rangers and even pirates passing by. Smiling
