It would be great for a random event caused your empire to desend into a civil war caused by polital tampering for just cause some of your planets don't like you i know this happened to me in SE4 but i am unable to reproduce this in SE5 cause its way to easy to please the population.
Also how about perminate alliances, this would allow the player to merge into a new alliance type that brings all the alliance member worlds under the player control and their military aswell, this would bring more sci-fi ness to this game.
Just a thought.
