PBW DNS issue

I tried registering an account there, is registration down?

Nice! I was starting having shakes...

I can't get to the site at all as of this morning. Both the domain name and IP address do not respond.

Also... automatic e-mails dont seem to be working properly?

I tried registering with PBW today, but the Registration attempts to send the information to seiv.pbw.cc which times out.

Is PBW down again? I can't seem to bring it up right now.

For the love of God, can I get a password sent to me for PBW? I already registered for it and I'm waiting, waiting, waiting.

Ok, So do turns "freeze" when pbw goes down? I REALLY don't want to miss any of my turns. At all.

I'm not the admin, so I can't vouch for anyone really, but in the past I've seen them turn off all automagic turn processing for a couple/3 days after the server goes down for extended periods, to help avoid unwanted AI turns.

It seems that PBW has been having rather consistent issues for the past few months. In recent memory, it's been down at least once a week, sometimes for days at a time.

Is there a single reason for this? Is the site in need of donations? Is this something that can be solved by $50 to buy a new stick of RAM? Or is it an issue with the service provider? Or something else entirely?

The PBW resource is extremely valuable to the SE community, and so I'm sure that if everyone knew that this consistent downtime was because of a root problem that could be solved either with financial support, or the gift of time/effort (volunteers for code upkeep, etc.), then the community would be willing to chip in to make sure PBW remains a stable tool for everyone.

I have 2 games that are going to be due for their turns soon, 1 KOTH and the other a 4-way match, what can I do to make sure I don't miss my turns?

You are very right!!! I have only just started using PBW and its value is huge for us SEV players...
So hey...I'll do my part for PWB once I get to turn 15 of my first game, have to at least use it a bit 1st...I'll make a donation...coz I dont code!
