One Last Thing: Help A Soldier & Fellow Geek (not me) |

probably no one could care less, but when i got into gaming it was a small, tight bunch - i still hold that.
If you don't feel that, perhaps that this person is a soldier will stir you.
One of our more prolific and IMO amusing members here is in USAF, and without revealing personal info, could be having a better time in Afghainistan.
Those jokes about Valentines Day?
Anyone that has served overseas, I don't have to explain.
Our Favorite Lieutenant can't even play in multiplayer, and in effect can't download, except on off days.
She's going to be on post for a few days, which is why I see this opportunity to write this, so as not to embarrass our good lieutenant.
I am looking for Homeworld (game she loves).
i can't find a downloadable, and my copy got stolen by a roommate...
I will probably order it... but what i was thinking, is Care Package.
If anyone's interested, my email is
i'm thinking old wargames, and digging through my collection right now- what wasn't run off with.
whatever we can get together, I'll pay the postage, and am awaiting the forms - yeah forms! - including # and what not to get it to the Lt.
there are lists of stuff to send military personnel - I'll leave others to decide if any of that fits or if they could even shrug. i may search old emails to see what other games she misses.
Thanks To Those who will share my concern.
Re: One Last Thing: Help A Soldier & Fellow Geek (not me)
Badger,
I think I have all three Homeworld games but I am also in theatre and will have to deliver from here vice going all the way to CONUS. I have just about everything except SOTS though I was not overly impressed with its demo but it came out after I departed CONUS otherwise I would have bought it just to support the team that also did Homeworld. Here is what I can muster: RFTS, EOFS, Alpha Centauri plus expansion, Nexus, STARCON2 & 3, Privateer, MOO, MOO2, MOO3, all GALCIVs, Space Rangers, Spaceward Ho!, and Stars!. If she has mentioned D&D I have a ton of those as well.

Sounds like a great idea. I've got Homeworld covered. Anyone have a copy of Homeworld 2: Cataclysm that they can spare?
