AI not launching units from planets in combat |
In my latest game I've invaded several worlds with fighters and/or satellites in their cargo. The AI doesn't launch these to defend the world. Why is this? Is it controlled by strategy, or something in the AI scripts? How can I make the AI launch these units?

Hmmn
I've noticed that even when i set the ministers in control of launching, i usually have to go manually launch things myself.
Not always... or maybe it is always.
i wonder if its a bugginess related somehow to it liking Planetary weapon platforms which have to be kept in cargo, or to badKitty's observation(never seen fighters in ground comabt myself)?

Re: AI not launching units from planets in combat
I'm not sure either on getting the AI to launch units from planets in combat.

I actually meant OUT of combat, turn to turn, in my IRM game, no, my stock game too - with ministers turned to control planet launch (whatever), they don't seem to do it.
Its a bit frustrating when you are cranking out fighters or drones9ie, probably have something built every turn)
Troll? No, Sir, I am a BADGER!

Re: AI not launching units from planets in combat
Satalites I am not sure of as they are usialy launched in advance of combat, but the AI oftain retains some fighters for ground combat where they are very nasty
