Ships freeze when not enough storage space available when units built using an onboard Spaceport! |

Description
Constructing more units than storage available results in ship that was used for construction being disabled. For example: Dreadnaught, and 6 fighters constructed using onboard Space Port. Under normal circumstances only enough space for 5 units should be available, message displayed to the user stating (no storage available)as expected. Although the user will no longer be able to move, even after launching Units in space.
1. Designed and Constructed 1 Dreadnaught using all Tonage with a 1 Space Port & 1 Fighter bay.
2. Moved Dreadnaught from the planet. Say 5 movements.
3. Constructed 6 Small Fighters from onboard Space Port.
4. Messages displayed to the user (5 Fighters Constructed) & (No Storage Available).
5. Observe the Dreadnaught used to construct the fighters is unable to move.
Question? Should this be happening? Or am I doing something stoopid!
Re: Ships freeze when not enough storage space available when un
I don't know if this is an issue here, but in SEIV, when you had no storage for units that were built, it continued to try and build them anyway, IIRC. Check to make sure the dreadnaught has nothing in it's build queue as it cannot move while building. That sounds like it could be your problem.
And Evil, I believe your wrong on that, I've had a station with a space yard and only fighter bays/sat bays for storage, and it constructed and stored units fine.

Re: Ships freeze when not enough storage space available when un
I don’t know but I would never personally build a ship yard ship without some ordinary cargo space since this is where units produced will be put. If this isn’t a fix it is at least a work round. Specialist cargo components drone launchers fighter and satellite bays don’t seem to count as cargo in this respect.
